Alberta Healthy Living Program

The Alberta Healthy Living Program offers a number of programs and services to adult Albertans living with chronic health condition(s) and/or disease(s). All program participants must be physically present in Alberta during whichever service(s) they take part in; please note that some services are only available in certain zones. Coverage For Seniors Program

The Government of Alberta provides seniors with premium-free coverage for prescription drugs and other health-related services, including chiropractic care, that are not covered under the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP). Current coverage for chiropractic services is up to $25 per visit to a maximum of $200 per person each benefit year. Better Mobility Lab & ICanWALK© App

The Better Mobility Lab at the University of Calgary is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people living with different movement patterns. The Better Mobility Lab is an interdisciplinary group, spanning medicine, engineering, physical therapy, occupational therapy, kinesiology, and sociology. The ICanWALK© app teaches people how to fit and use their walking aid. It uses video modules and a self-evaluation system to increase user’s knowledge and confidence in fitting and using walking aids, including walkers, axillary crutches, canes, forearm crutches, knee scooters, and walking poles. LIVE WELL Exercise Clinic

LIVE WELL Exercise Clinic uses exercise as a powerful tool to improve your health as you age. Their team of Clinical Exercise Physiologists clinically design programs that use exercise as medicine to address a variety of health conditions, including but not limited to, the management of blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, menopause, cancer care, weight loss, chronic disease, cardiac rehabilitation, and bone health.
