FAQ
Here’s a list of frequently asked questions to help you understand my services better and to clarify any doubts you may have about your journey towards optimal health with me.
What is your direct billing policy?
What is your modification policy and warranty on the orthotics?
Is there free parking at Thrive Business & Wellness Centre?
Yes, at Thrive Business & Wellness Centre there’s plenty of free parking!
How do I sign in when I arrive at Thrive Business & Wellness Centre?
There will be a self-check-in station at the front desk upon arrival. Please scan the QR code or visit the website and provide the requested information to let Dr. Rebecca know that you have arrived. Then take a seat in the waiting room and Dr. Rebecca will come get you for your appointment!
What is your no show & late cancellation policy?
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation (<24 hour’s notice) or missed visit leaves a hole in the doctor’s day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, Dr. Rebecca requires at least 24 hour’s notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 24 hour’s notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee equal to the scheduled appointment fee.
Please know that Dr. Rebecca completely understands that life happens sometimes. Any extenuating circumstances resulting in a late cancellation or missed appointment will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Patients are responsible for calling Dr. Rebecca to discuss any extenuating circumstances as soon as possible.
How do I prepare for my orthotics assessment?
Prior to booking your orthotics assessment appointment, it is important to review your orthotics insurance coverage requirements. Most insurance plans will require a doctor’s prescription for orthotics dated prior to the orthotics assessment. Please bring your doctor’s prescription for orthotics to your orthotics assessment appointment.
Since orthotics are a product and not a service, the full orthotics fee is due at the end of the orthotics assessment.
When your orthotics arrive at the clinic, you will be notified to schedule your orthotics pick up appointment. At this appointment, you will be provided with home care instructions and all paperwork required to submit for reimbursement with your insurance company.
Do you accept MVA (motor vehicle accident) and WCB (workers’ compensation board) claims?
I currently accept MVA claims. If you have been injured in an automobile accident in Alberta, you are entitled to accident benefits coverage regardless of whether you were at fault for the accident. The benefits you receive depend on the type of injury you have, which is determined during your initial assessment. If you have been injured in an automobile accident, it is recommended that you contact the insurer of the vehicle you were in at the time of the accident (insurance company) and see a primary healthcare practitioner (including a chiropractor) within 10 business days of the accident.
I currently do not accept WCB claims.
