Comprehensive Chiropractic Services

I believe that it is imperative that my patients possess the self-confidence, and are equipped with the tools, to be active participants and self-advocates for their healthcare. Taking into consideration your personal health goals and treatment preferences, I offer a variety of treatment options. From spinal manipulation therapy and soft tissue therapy to acupuncture and exercise rehabilitation, my diverse offerings aim to address your unique needs.

What do I need to know about low back pain?

Ideally, patients with acute (or new onset) low back pain who request appointments ought to be scheduled and assessed within 1-3 days when possible.

Spinal manipulation therapy (also called an “adjustment”) is a safe, highly skilled procedure, in which the chiropractor will use their hands to apply controlled force to your joint and guide it through a range of motion.

Soft tissue therapy is a form of manual therapy that targets not just the muscles, but also the tendons, ligaments, and fascia – the connective tissue that encloses and stabilizes muscles and organs. This form of therapy can be particularly beneficial for those suffering from acute and chronic pain, muscle tension, and restricted movement due to its primary objective of reducing muscle tension and enhancing overall function.

Contemporary medical acupuncture serves as a unique therapeutic modality that makes use of fine, sterile needles strategically inserted into specific anatomical points on the body. This innovative therapy, an adaptation of traditional Chinese medicine, seamlessly blends ancient wisdom with modern scientific understanding, aiming to restore the body’s optimal functioning.

Exercise rehabilitation is integrated into every treatment plan. Emphasis is placed on moving within comfortable and tolerable ranges, in order to encourage the body to function the way it’s intended to.

In every healing journey we facilitate, patient education is absolutely crucial. We understand the transformative power of knowledge when it comes to managing one’s health. Indeed, studies show that when patients comprehend the nature of their condition or injury, it results in improved outcomes. The fear often associated with their pain experience is lessened, and they feel a sense of control over their wellbeing.

At the heart of my healthcare approach is the belief in the power of patient empowerment. This means equipping you, the valued patient, with self-management strategies that are integral to the healing process. Techniques such as adopting positions for relief and mastering pain management strategies allow you to take an active role in your healthcare journey.
